Family owned and operated, The Vintage Press was founded by restaurateur, John Vartanian in 1966. It was always envisioned to be a fresh take on the traditional dining experience. With tireless effort and the support of his sons, Greg and David, the vision became a reality. The Vintage Press soon gained a reputation as one of Visalia's most unique restaurants, offering menus with a creative twist and farm to table sensibility.
For 30 years, Greg Vartanian, a Cordon Bleu-trained chef, led the kitchen and developed the menu. He eventually passed the role of Head Chef to his brother David. Greg now serves as the strategic director and “guiding light,” passionately focused on food innovation, modernizing operations, and inspiring staff to deliver exceptional service.
Today, The Vintage Press consistently earns 5-star reviews from both local and out-of-town visitors alike. It's listed as a California Top 10 Restaurant, praised by the LA Times as a “bastion of culinary merit,” and recognized by Fodor’s Restaurant Review for its selection of more than 900 wines - with Wine Spectator magazine lauding The Vintage Press as having “one of the best wine lists in the world.”
